The former professional Hocky player only took up triathlon in 2010. She believes a big part of triathlon is having a strong psyche if you want to get to the top – and Pedersen has that.
After recovering from a serious injury in 2013, Camilla came back in 2014 to prove that she is a fighter in the word’s most pure meaning. As she puts it: “Winners never quit, quitters never win”. Throughout the 2014 season she really put action behind those words, as she won her first 70.3 race in Fuerteventura and in August won the Triathlon World Championship in Weihai, China.
Camilla’s comeback proves that she has an amazing drive and passion, and is a natural triathlon talent.
Within the last few years, she has achieved top rankings in almost every race she has participated in. She also became the first Danish female triathlete to clock in under the magical 9-hour mark in an Ironman event.
