Challenge Galway adds half distance to weekend of triathlon

Posted on: Tuesday 27th October 2015

CHALLENGEFAMILY has announced its flagship event in Ireland, CHALLENGEGALWAY is adding a half distance race next June. This is a highly anticipated move, and comes about due to demand from the triathlon public who have inundated event organisers to add a half distance race to the CHALLENGEGALWAY experience when the race series lands in Ireland on 26 June 2016.

The race route will be similar to the long distance race announced earlier this year, with the swim start in Renville Oranmore, followed by a one loop 90km bike route taking in Kinvarra, the Wild Atlantic Way and back to the Galway Docklands before taking in two flat and exciting run loops of Galway City Centre.

CHALLENGEFAMILY have announced a special discount entry price of €169 for the first 250 entrants. Price tiers will increase per tier for each 250 additional entrants. Organisers are strongly advising athletes enter to early as space will be limited.

To celebrate the announcement, CHALLENGEFAMILY are giving four athletes the opportunity to secure a slot for Challenge Roth 2016! These Roth slots are being made available as follows:

1st person to enter wins because it’s CHALLENGEGALWAY’s first year!

13th person because CHALLENGEFAMILY is 13 years old!

26th person because the race takes place on the 26 June!

113th because it is the of distance of race in kms!

Entries open today, 27 October at 7pm GMT at www.challenge-galway.eu.
