After a successful career on the ITU circuit that culminated in two Olympic appearances Ryf has made one of the most successful transitions to long distance racing under the guidance of coach Brett Sutton. In 2014 after focussing on uni exams in the first half of the year she dominated the second half with 8 successive wins over all distances including a win on debut at the full distance at Ironman Switzerland. The dominance also included winning the 70.3 World Championship and placing second on debut at Kona.

Daniela continued that form in 2015 with an emphatic win at Challenge Dubai against a stacked field and will now take aim at winning the USD$1 million bonus for winning all three races in the Triple Crown Series.
