She began her athletic career at just 13 representing Wales and then Great Britain in the pool, but also represented her country on the track and cross-country. While studying at Loughborough University she was recruited onto the British Triathlon Team and that began an extraordinary triathlon career that includes representing on Olympic and Commonwealth teams.

Fast forward to 2014, a year littered with big performances and results finishing second at the 70.3 World Championships and fourth in Kona. She thrived under the new 20m rule in Bahrain where she also finished on the podium against a hugely talented field.

She boasts five wins at 70.3 South Africa and a 70.3 World Championship title in 2010. In 2013 she won her first Ironman race in Sweden along with second places at South Africa and Frankfurt.
