Hauschildt burst onto the triathlon scene in 2010 and set up a winning habit from her very first races. She finished that year with a stunning second place to Caroline Steffen at the 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships.

Switching to triathlon in 2010 after a very successful athletics career as a middle distance runner, who specialised in steeplechase. Winning gold in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2001 Goodwill Games and Commonwealth Games silver in 2006.

In her first year as a pro she was unbeaten, as she improved her swim and bike skills she became one of the most successful athletes on the long distance scene.

A two-time Ironman 70.3 champion she also won on debut at the full distance in 2014.

At the beginning of 2015 her stats include; 21 wins over the half distance, 10 times Australian champion and three world titles.
