Tim dabbled in triathlon while playing AFL football but turned to it fulltime at 18 years of age and turned pro at 21.

A move closer to his long time coach Grant Giles reaped rewards. Earning him the tag of the world’s youngest three time Ironman champion. He continues his rise in the sport of long distance racing, improving year on year. His 7th place on debut at Kona in 2014 another indicator of even better to come from him. He was the second youngest to win over the full distance at 24 years of age in 2008 claimed dual titles at Challenge Copenhagen in 2010 and 2011.

His schedule usually includes two full distances races and ten plus halves predominantly in the Asia Pacific region and America.
